I grew up on Loch Lomond side where my love of the natural world was fostered. I went to school in Glasgow and graduated with an Honours degree in History from the University of Edinburgh. I then completed a Diploma in Education, taught History and was Principal Teacher of Guidance at a large Fife high school taking early retirement to concentrate on painting and printmaking.
I have completed a number of courses with the Open College of the Arts, Leith School of Art and at Edinburgh Printmakers where I have been an active member for many years.
I exhibit regularly (check News page for updates) and have had work in several open exhibitions including the RSA, SSA and PAI.
